2025 JCI Rainbow Overall Champions in Mormugao Taluka
Airway Public School has consistently excelled in co-curricular and academic competitions, bringing laurels to the institution through the outstanding achievements of its students. The school actively participated in all events at the Rainbow Competition organized by JCI, including Effective Public Speaking, Flag Painting, Patriotic Singing, Ad Mad, Group Dance, Fashion Show, and Quiz. Demonstrating remarkable talent and teamwork, Airway Public School secured the Runners-Up Trophy in both 2023 and 2024. Adrika Chaurasiya, Swara Gadekar, and Jharana Khadka secured Second Place in the Science Exhibition, impressing the judges with their creativity, scientific knowledge, and presentation skills. Design Patent by the Government of India. 'SMART NAVIGATION STICK'
Rehan Khan of class 9 who studies in Airway Public School has invented a SMART NAVIGATION STICK for the visually disabled. His invention was registered on 8th July 2024 and was officially patented on 17th October 2024 by the government of India. This unique design has not been seen anywhere in the country. This invention helps people who can't see. It uses special sensors and software to perform several tasks. For example, it can recognize objects, tell the value of money, detect water, and even call for help in emergencies on just a single click. There's also a virtual assistant that listens to your voice commands. The device can also send live location to the guide of the blind person by just installing the required software and see the front view through the camera provided on the stick. By putting all these features together, the device gives important information about what's around you and can quickly get help when needed. It uses the latest technology to make life easier and safer for people who are visually impaired.Rehan has presented his Project at various platforms and has won several awards and garnered accolades for his invention. He has received Design patent for his project SMART NAVIGATION STICK by the Government of India. He has won the first prize in Science Exhibition STEM II & STEM III held at M.E.S Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce He also won the first prize in Science Exhibition organized by Parul University at ShantaDurga Higher Secondary, Sancoale He bagged the first place in Science Exhibition organised by Keshav Smruti High School Dabolim And he also won the first place in Science Exhibition organized by Sri Narayni Mahalasha High school He has participated in the WSRO World STEM & Robotics Olympiad (Regionals) held on 29th June 2025 at Saraswat Vidyalaya, Mapusa, competing in the Young Scientist - All STEM Open category and he bagged First Place and will now proudly represent Goa at the Nationals in Ahmedabad (Sept/Oct 2025) He has presented his project to the CEO of Arduino at BITS Pilani Goa Campus. He has also exhibited his project In the Mechanical Department of BITS Pilani and was presented a recognition award. His invention was covered by the Media channels like Prudent Media and Goa new365. His invention has also been published in the Goa business magazine.
